Workshops

Core Skills: Microsurgery Sutures

Microsurgical techniques are practiced under a microscope, developing precision and dexterity in manipulating fine structures. The workshop offers an essential introduction to reconstructive surgery and neurosurgery.

Laparoscopic Urology: Theory and Practice

Fundamental and advanced laparoscopic suturing techniques are addressed on dedicated simulators. The aim is to perfect the coordination and precision required for minimally invasive interventions.

Urinary Catheterization: Hands-on Workshop

The technique of urinary catheterization is presented and practiced, emphasizing the correct principles of performance, to ensure a safe and atraumatic maneuver, essential in patient care.

Core Skills in Orthopaedics and Traumatology

Techniques for fracture reduction, immobilization, and principles of bone fixation are presented and applied, necessary in the management of trauma cases. Emphasis is placed on precision and safety.

Image Guided Procedures: Interventional Radiology Essentials

Modern interventional radiology techniques are explored, used in minimally invasive image-guided treatments. The workshop offers a perspective on innovation in current medicine.

Airway Management: Tracheostomy Techniques

Techniques for performing and managing tracheostomy are demonstrated, emphasizing indications, postoperative care, and prevention of complications. Molds are used for practical practice.

ECG Interpretation: Recognizing Cardiac Patterns

The principles of electrocardiography are learned, the recognition of normal tracings and the interpretation of the main pathological changes. The analysis of heart rhythms in relation to cardiovascular pathologies is practiced.

Clinical Reasoning: Case-Based Learning

Complex clinical cases are analyzed, applying medical reasoning for diagnosis and therapeutic management. Emphasis is placed on correlating symptomatology with paraclinical explorations and clinical decisions.

Breaking Bad News: Communication Skills in Medicine

Techniques for effective communication in delivering difficult news to patients and relatives are practiced. Simulations with actors allow for the development of empathy and the management of sensitive situations.

EEG Interpretation: Basics and Clinical Applications

This workshop will present the principles of electroencephalography technique, its applicability in diagnosis and the interpretation of EEG tracings. The analysis of specific patterns in neurological pathology will be practiced.

Laparoscopic Skills: General Surgery

This workshop offers participants the opportunity to learn and practice minimally invasive surgical techniques, under the guidance of experts in the field of laparoscopy.

Needle Techniques: Hands-on Workshop

Techniques for venous puncture and intravenous catheter insertion are demonstrated and practiced, indispensable in infusion therapy and the management of venous access in emergencies.

Plastic Surgery Core Skills: From Fundamentals to Finesse

An in-depth workshop designed to build core skills in plastic surgery, from basic principles to advanced techniques. Participants will gain hands-on experience, enhance their precision, and develop a deeper understanding of surgical finesse in a controlled, learning-focused environment.

Surviving Med School Without Losing Your Mind (or Yourself)

A safe and honest space to talk about burnout, anxiety, and identity during medical school. We’ll open up real conversations about how to navigate the intense years of studying without losing yourself along the way. This workshop offers practical techniques for self-regulation, emotional balance, and staying grounded in who you are — beyond the white coat.
